“The Nimble Elephant” – McGraw-Hill and Flatirons Co-Present the Create System at the Mark Logic Digital Publishing Summit

On December 10, 2009 Shannon Holman, Director of Content Management for McGraw-Hill, and Lee Fife, Vice President of Publishing Solutions for Flatirons Solutions, demonstrated the all new McGraw-Hill “Create” custom publishing system as part of a presentation titled “The Nimble Elephant: Bringing Agile to Old-School Publishing.”

By building on McGraw-Hill’s role as an industry innovator (Create replaces a legacy system originally deployed almost 20 years ago), the Create system demonstrates how large publishers can become nimble elephants -- respecting their long-held publishing traditions while moving quickly to meet market opportunities.
