Flatirons Solutions Receives Letter of Commendation from FAA

The Federal Aviation Administration Director of Systems Operations Programs provided a letter of commendation to Flatirons Solutions for our significant contribution to the successful development and deployment of the first release of the new Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS). It was noted that ”the program management, systems and software engineering, and analytics support provided by Flatirons were key to achieving this critical Directorate milestone.” The Traffic Flow Management (TFM) System is a strategic component of the National Airspace System chartered with maximizing efficient use of available airport and airspace capacity. This deployment involved re-planning the development effort to account for technical and scheduling challenges. Flatirons was “a consistent force in shaping the TFMS architecture, program processes and metrics, and future plans.”
