Flatirons Solutions Chosen by Government Printing Office for FDsys SETA Support Services

Flatirons Solutions has been selected to provide high-end systems engineering technical assistance (SETA) for the Government Printing Office (GPO) Federal Digital System (FDsys).  The GPO’s mission is to ensure the public’s right to access government information by collecting, organizing, maintaining, preserving, and disseminating information from all three branches of the Federal Government.  The GPO is in the process of upgrading to the FDsys, a Documentum-based, advanced digital system that will enable GPO to manage Government information in a digital form.  In a SETA support role, Flatirons will assist the GPO in defining key parameters of development and implementation of their FDsys, such as scope, objectives, assumptions, constraints, required functionality, and required subsystems and interfaces.  Specifically, Flatirons will assist the GPO in meeting the following project goals:

• Establish disciplined tracking and oversight of selected enterprise system projects.
• Assist with the delivery of prerequisite engineering documentation, such as ConOps, requirements, and initial process models
• Manage and support audit and resolution of development contractor operational, functional, and technical design issues
• Establish a process to ensure proper sustainment of delivered systems
