Flatirons Solutions CTO Elected Treasurer of IDEAlliance

Flatirons Solutions is proud to announce that Eric Severson, the company’s Chief Technology Officer and co-founder, was recently elected Treasurer of IDEAlliance. IDEAlliance, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting best practices in publishing information technology, confirmed Mr. Severson’s election to this key position earlier this year. The move to the role of Treasurer follows Eric’s long-time involvement with IDEAlliance as a board member.

“It’s great to be working even more closely with this important organization,” Severson said. “My past work with IDEAlliance and its XML conferences has given me excellent insight into the needs of the organization and its constituent members,” he continued, “and I’m excited to be able to help promote its unique mission of expanding publishing process and technology.”

A recognized XML pioneer and content management industry expert, Eric Severson is a past President of the OASIS XML industry consortium, a current member of the OASIS DITA technical committee, a principal designer of the IBM XML Certification Program, and a past board member of the AIIM Document Management Alliance.
