Flatirons Solutions engineers were recognized by the FAA Traffic Flow Management Modernization (TFM-M) Program Manager for their contributions and support to the TFM-M program.
The Traffic Flow Management (TFM) System is a strategic component of the National Airspace System chartered with maximizing efficient use of available airport and airspace capacity. The TFM Modernization program will replace critical elements of the current TFM software, add new capabilities, and modernize the TFM infrastructure to provide an open, standards-based system that will be the basis for future capabilities and enhancements. Flatirons Solutions provides engineering and management support on the TFM-Modernization (TFM-M) program to address systems and software engineering plus specific activities spanning from requirements to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
TFM-M is a multi-year program and development effort which reached a critical milestone in August 2007 – the successful completion of a detailed software design – after three years of intensive work. Our engineers were recognized for their individual contributions to this effort, including leading the review of system engineering planning and design documents, and critical review of detailed software design materials.
