The Federal Aviation Administration Director of Systems Operations Programs provided a letter of commendation to Flatirons Solutions for support to the Traffic Flow Management Modernization (TFM-M) Replan evaluation.
The Traffic Flow Management (TFM) System is a strategic component of the National Airspace System chartered with maximizing efficient use of available airport and airspace capacity. The TFM Modernization program will replace critical elements of the current TFM software, add new capabilities, and modernize the TFM infrastructure to provide an open, standards-based system that will be the basis for future capabilities and enhancements. Flatirons Solutions provides engineering and management support on the TFM-Modernization (TFM-M) program to address systems and software engineering plus specific activities spanning from requirements to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
The development contract for TFM-M required modification, and Flatirons engineers were recognized for their contributions to this significant effort. Flatirons staff participated in analyzing the proposal for the modified contract, provided recommendations to the process, and prepared critical documentation. These efforts were noted as “crucial in ensuring successful evaluation” of the TFM-M contract modification.
