Senior Systems Engineer - Air Traffic Management Systems Northern Virginia / DC Metropolitan,
At least 8 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Analyst, with at least 5 years experience working with ATM systems and/or the NAS. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are a must.
 
Junior Systems Engineer - Air Traffic Management Systems Northern Virginia / DC Metropolitan,
At least 2 years of experience as a System Engineer or Analyst; experience working with Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and/or the National Airspace System (NAS) is a plus but not required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are a must.

Technical consulting and oversight of the development and modernization of a number of FAA Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. Activities may include developing concepts of operations and system architectures; evaluating system architecture and design artifacts; conducting system requirements analysis, review, and management; identifying and evaluating system-level technical risks and dependencies; and participating in program management reviews, system-level reviews, technical interchanges, and related activities. This position may require the candidate to develop an understanding of several ATM systems and/or domains and identify dependencies and requirements needed for cross-domain integration. Successful candidate will work as a member of a consulting team but is also expected to work independently to identify and resolve other client support needs within a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have (or be able to quickly develop) an understanding of several Air Traffic Management systems and/or domains and be able to identify dependencies and requirements needed for cross-domain integration consistent with provision of weather data and products in the context of a Service Oriented Architecture. Will work as a member of a consulting team but is also expected to work independently to identify and resolve other client support needs within a dynamic environment. Must be able to recognize and define client needs, bring together disparate information and/or different domains via cohesive analysis, and deliver concise recommendations to the client. Preferably has experience executing in a formal systems engineering environment using modern methods and tools (e.g., RUP, UML).
