John Pritchard - Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder and CEO of Flatirons Solutions, John is responsible for all aspects of the company and focuses on corporate strategy, business development, financial management, partnerships, and marketing. Under John’s leadership, the company has become an industry-recognized premier provider of solutions and services to government and commercial clients. Flatirons has received recognition for customer satisfaction, industry leadership, community service, and corporate growth, most notably ranking 87th on the Inc. 500 and being named ColoradoBiz magazine’s Colorado Technology Company of the Year.

John has over 21 years of extensive software engineering, consulting, and senior management experience. Prior to founding Flatirons, he was a Principal in IBM Global Services’ worldwide Enterprise Document Management practice. Prior to joining IBM, John was a Program Manager for Sterling Software’s Federal Systems Group. Previously, John was with IBM’s Federal Systems Division. John began his career performing software engineering for space-based systems as an Officer in the United States Air Force.

John holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and an M.C.I.S. – Software Engineering from the University of Denver.

John’s interests include traveling with his family, coaching youth athletics, and flying as a private pilot.

Greg Beserra - President

A co-founder of Flatirons Solutions, Greg is President of the company’s Commercial Line of Business. In this role, he develops the corporation’s goals, vision, and operations approach with particular emphasis on the commercial sector. Under his leadership, the company has grown to over 100 employees in three locations, with $20+M in annual revenues. Greg has also been instrumental in establishing strong partner alliances and cultivating a client list featuring industry leaders including Fortune 500 companies.

Greg has over 24 years of experience that includes consulting, staffing, business development, client service and the development of CM/EDM solutions. Greg has held senior project management and leadership roles for start-ups, large corporate clients and Fortune 500 professional services organizations. Prior to founding Flatirons, Greg was a Practice Executive for IBM Global Services’ worldwide Enterprise Document Management practice. Prior to that, he was with IBM’s Federal Systems Division.

Greg holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University and an M.C.I.S from the University of Denver.

An active community volunteer, Greg has been involved in youth soccer coaching, the Big Brothers program, and numerous local charity events.

Mary Pritchard - President

A co-founder of Flatirons Solutions, Mary is President of the company’s Government Line of Business. In this role, she develops the corporation’s goals, vision, and operating philosophy with particular emphasis on the public sector marketplace. Under Mary’s leadership, Flatirons Solutions has gained national recognition for its work evaluating airport security technologies for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and providing technical expertise on numerous FAA modernization programs including Traffic Flow Management and the En Route Automation Modernization. As a testimonial to Mary’s strategic leadership, Washington Technology recognized Flatirons Solutions as a 2006 Fast 50 Government Contractor.

Mary has spent more than 25 years in information technology, designing and developing advanced intelligence, command and control, communications, and air traffic management systems. Prior to founding Flatirons Solutions, she was President of the Civilian Government Sector at Sterling Software and Senior Vice President of the Transportation Division at Northrop Grumman.

Mary holds a B.S. in Mathematics with a Minor in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska.

Mary’s interests include traveling, golf, and scuba diving.

Eric Severson - Chief Technology Officer

Eric is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Flatirons Solutions. An internationally recognized XML pioneer and content management industry expert, he drives the company’s technical strategy, technology partnerships and delivery of quality for Flatirons customers. Eric is a frequent speaker at content management and XML industry events and active participant in industry and standards organizations. He is also a contributor to the Content Technology CTO Blog.

Eric has over 29 years of experience in the technology field, ranging from hands-on product development and consulting to senior management roles in engineering and marketing. A former president of the OASIS industry consortium and a current IDEAlliance board member, he also has experience as an Executive Consultant for IBM Global Services, as a Vice President and Chief Strategist for Interleaf, Inc., and as co-founder and CTO of Avalanche Development.

Eric holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, and Ph.D. coursework in Computer Science from the University of Colorado.

In his “spare time”, Eric enjoys contributing to the indie/alternative music scene in Colorado as singer/songwriter.
