CTO to Speak at Global XML Conference

July 1, 2004

BOULDER, Colo. — Eric Severson, Flatirons Solutions' Chief Technology Officer, has been invited to speak at XML 2004, on November 15th-19th in Washington, D.C. His presentation, "Using XML for Creative Content and Page Layout Applications", will leverage Flatirons' vast experience in delivering innovative content management solutions. Says Severson, "We've developed a unique approach which significantly reduces the cost and the time to maintain data sheets, product catalogs, brochures and other marketing content that is traditionally developed individually using page layout applications." Style- and graphics-intensive content can now be dynamically produced using some of the same technologies and techniques that have been used for years to manage technical documentation and other high-volume publications that undergo frequent change.

An internationally recognized XML pioneer and content management industry expert, Mr. Severson has over twenty years of experience in the technology field, ranging from hands-on product development and consulting to senior management roles in engineering and marketing. Mr. Severson is a past President of OASIS (formerly SGML Open), a past board member of the Graphic Communications Association (GCA), and was a member of the advisory boards of the AIIM Document Management Alliance and the Xerox Executive Roundtable for Document Technology.
