Flatirons helps keep defense organizations agile by delivering technical documentation products and solutions for the maintenance of aircraft and other military equipment and vehicles. Flatirons will be exhibiting its CORENA Suite of products and solutions at the DOD Maintenance Symposium November 17-20, 2014, in Birmingham, Alabama, and November 19-20, 2014, at TechDocs UK in Bristol, England.
Flatirons Solutions for the Defense Community
Flatirons’ CORENA Suite is used by leading commercial airline operators, MROs, major aerospace OEMs, and the U.S. and Allied defense organizations to achieve maintenance efficiencies through interactive electronic technical publication solutions, task card solutions, and advanced mobile capabilities that support Windows, iOS, and Android platforms across multiple mobile devices.
The CORENA Suite supports multiple specifications, including S1000D, greatly simplifying the management of maintenance information and improving the efficiency of maintenance personnel so they can return systems to operational status quicker.
CORENA Suite solutions are currently supporting multiple systems operated by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) — including U.S. Air Force aircraft such as the C-5, F-16, and F-35, and U.S. Army weapon systems such as the Stryker Remote Weapon Station, Archer, and multiple helicopters — as well as various Allied military organizations, including the air, land, and sea branches of the Danish and Norwegian defense organizations, the Finnish Navy, and specific programs in the Swedish Defense.
Flatirons’ Technical Publications Outsourcing services also are used to shorten turn-time, improve the quality of work, and lower costs. Flatirons also has integrated 3D illustrated parts catalogs into clients’ IETM environments and built advanced training capabilities using virtual reality (such as for the F-35).
Flatirons at the DOD Maintenance Symposium
Flatirons will be exhibiting its breadth of solutions and some of the many relevant DOD systems supported by the CORENA Suite at the DOD Maintenance Symposium. We look forward to talking with both Government personnel and support contractors interested in improving maintenance effectiveness at the event.
Enabling Mobile Forces at TechDocs UK
Wayne Enis, Flatirons’ director of sales engineering, will give a live demonstration of Flatirons’ CORENA Pinpoint Mobile solution at TechDocs UK. He will show how aerospace and defense organizations of all sizes can benefit from a paperless and mobile environment, including the delivery of key technical content and publications to content consumers via mobile.
