An international team of NATO and United States Air Force departments involved in the management, review, and coordination of an NE-3A aircraft program needed to engage the cockpit manufacturer in order to agree on S1000D Business Rules. They also needed to understand the relation between data coming from and going into various systems connected to the S1000D Common Source Data Base, or CSDB.
